The following are the main centers for skiing and snowboarding in Chile:

Antillanca

It is a ski resort located in the Puyehue National Park, near Casablanca volcano. It is located 98 km from Osorno, and it presents 14 runs suitable for every people, with 8 assistance patrols.

The ski center has a hotel with 45 rooms and a lodge with 85 rooms. It also has a heated pool, restaurant, bar, coffee shop and gymnasium services.

Antuco

The Antuco ski center has 15 runs for skiing and snowboarding, monitored by the Ski Patrol of Chile.

It is located in the Bio-Bio region, near the Antuco’s volcano. It is also 96 miles far from Los Angeles and it is part of the Laguna del Laja National Park.

Portillo

It is located in the province of Los Andes, Valparaíso Region, and it is one of the major winter spots center, of both Chile and the Southern Hemisphere.

Its location at more than 2.500 meters of altitude at the Andes mountains, makes it an inhospitable place, privilege for only few ones. Its proximity about 160 km to the capital Santiago convert this center into one of the most popular destinations.

It has a hotel with great view and two lodge with private bathroom, perfect to enjoy both family and friends trips. Furthermore, it has a recognized ski and snowboard school, and a full equipment rental service.

Chapa Verde

It is over 3.000 meters high, near to the city of Rancagua (60 km), and 150 km far from Santiago. The ski resort has 22 runs with different slopes, which allows you to perform a slow decline and enjoy the surroundings.

It also presents 2 full-service restaurants, and cabins to stay near the establishment. It provides the equipment rental and learning school services.

Farellones

It is located in the Andes mountains, 35 km far from Santiago de Chile and next to major ski resorts such as Valle Nevado, La Parva and El Colorado.

It is one of the oldest mountain centers of Chile and presents 3 runs. However, you can access through their lifts to the slopes of El Colorado that are 5 km above.

Termas de Chillán

This center is located 82 km to the east of Chillán and offers an excellent food and lodging services at two first class hotels.

It presents 28 runs located 1.650 meters above sea level, with 11 lifts, and it has 10.000 hectare for skiing. This resort contains the longest run of South America, called Las Tres Marias, which has a total of 13 km.

In addition, the spa services offer nine sulfur and iron pools, available all year round to enjoy with family or friends.

La Parva

La Parva is located at 2.750 meters above the sea level and less than 50 km far from Santiago, capital of Chile.

More than 1.000 shelters and private condominiums ensure availability of 7.000 beds in winter season for the athletes and their families. La Parva offers many services such as gastronomic, a ski school and the equipment rental.

Beautiful sunsets can be seen on the horizon, from the shelter and condominiums terraces, transforming La Parva into a paradise for winter sports and relaxation.

El Colorado

The Colorado has a maximum height of 3.333 meters above the sea level and a vertical drop of 903 meters. It receives short and intense snowfalls, with an average of 3.5 meters of snow in a normal year, allowing to maintain the excellent condition of its 70 snowy runs.

It offers a wide range of services such as hotels, catering, equipment rental, ski lessons, among others.

Valle Nevado

It is located at 46 kilometers to the east of Santiago and it’s considered one of the most modern ski centers in the continent.

Its location on the southeast slope of the Andes at an altitude of 3.025 meters, allows the perfect preservation of its snow. Moreover, it offers the access to the largest area for skiing and snowboarding in the Southern Hemisphere. In recent years they have expanded their runs, and also a snow park and a halfpipe were created for the practice of freestyle skiing, ski jumping, acrobatic skiing and snowboarding.

Pucón

The Ski Pucón center is located just at 20 minutes from Pucón, and presents an elegant infrastructure for the practice of ski and snowboard. Its facilities encourage the organization of the major international challenges and competitions.

There are many services provided such as ski lessons, equipment rental, and the Gran Pucón Hotel that guarantees gourmet quality and comfort.
